The Pine Bush fell behind by 14 points in the first quarter in a 34-14 loss to the Middletown Middies on Thursday at Faller Field in Middletown.

Triston Santos completed 10 passes for 199 yards, while Jake Schorling had four catches for 45 yards and Logan Hawley carried two passes for 78 yards. Manny Hannon ran for 58 yards and blocked a punt. Plexico Brooks ran for 63 yards.

The Bushmen fell to 2-5 and 1-3 in Class AA and are currently in fourth place in the league. They will clinch the fourth seed in the playoffs with a win Friday over the Kingston Tigers. They can also clinch fourth place if they lose to the Tigers and the Valley Central Vikings lose to the Middies this week.

Class A
Washingtonville 57, Wallkill 25

Sean Davis scored four touchdowns, leading the Washingtonville Wizards to a win over the Wallkill Panthers.

Chris Bartolone threw two touchdown passes to Aidan Kozireski, and Michael Cullen and Kent Glasgow each ran for a touchdown.

Non-league
Valley Central 28, Monticello 0
The Valley Central Vikings improved to 2-5 with a win over the Monticello Panthers on Saturday afternoon.

A Class AA playoff berth is still in play for the Vikings, but they would need to beat the Middletown Middies on Friday and also need Pine Bush to lose to Kingston, as the Bushmen own the tiebreaker.
