During the Village of Montgomery’s December 6 board meeting, Mayor Steve Brescia announced that neither the village board nor the Town of Montgomery board will pursue Aden Brook’s proposed annexation, based on the residential input they received during November 21’s information session.

“I’m getting feedback that the town board, and probably our board, isn’t really interested in the annexation, so I’m not going to push forward. I’m glad we got information on that; there was some merit in certain respects, but I wanted to hear what residents wanted to say and it was a mixed bag,” Brescia said. “Their community host is enticing, but there’s a lot of concern out there too.”

Trustee Mike Hembury added that he “was against it from the beginning.”
