Congratulations to Michael Holmes, Declan Reilly and Connor Stafford, Boy Scouts from Troop 31 -Montgomery-Walden on attaining their Eagle Scout awards at a Court of Honor Ceremony held at the Anita L. Vandermark Community Center on Sunday April 7.

Michael Holmes’s Eagle project was to clean, paint and repair the sign holder and the cupola for the Montgomery American Legion Post # 521. Through generous donations, he was able to place six flag poles around the American flagpole. The six poles and flags represent each branch of the U. S. Military.

Declan Reilly’s Eagle Project was at the Jacob T. Walden House, home of the Walden Historical Society. He oversaw the installation of a handicap ramp on the side door to the house, allowing much needed wheelchair access. His project included painting and cosmetic improvements to the columns and exterior doors, as well as planting flowers around the property, beautifying the grounds.
Connor Staffford’s Eagle Project was constructing an informational kiosk.

Connor spent a lot of time at Bradley Park playing sports and wanted to give something back to Bradley Park. The kiosk is a nice way for the community to post different events happening at the park and in the area.
