Walter F. Greening of Montgomery, NY passed away at home on Thursday, December 9, 2021. He was 77.
The son of Frank J. and Alma Gorss Greening, he was born on September 6, 1944 in Goshen, NY. He was a civil engineer for the NYS Dept. of Transportation, Poughkeepsie, NY. He was married to Pamela Viens Greening. He will be dearly missed.
Walter was a member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church, Pine Bush, the Valley Central Taxpayers Assoc. and the North Carolina State Alumni.
Survivors are his wife, Pamela Greening at home; daughters: Kimberly Richner (Bruce) of Pine Bush, Jennifer Hurley (Gordon) of Pennsylvania, Victoria McVey of South Caroline and Amanda Meres (Ryan) of Cragsmoor; sisters: Bonnie Van Wagenen (Neil) of Gardiner and Mary Sue Greening of Middletown; 10 grandchildren: Allyson, Erika, Michael, Jack, Nicholas, Grace, Cooper, Matthew, Shaun and Tyler; nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14th from 4-7pm at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, 39 Orchard St., WaldenY. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY. Memorial contribution may be made to the Mountain View United Methodist Church, PO Box 1577 Pine Bush, NY 12566 or the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
