Warren Brundage DuBois, Jr. passed away on June 29, 2022 in his home in Pine Bush (Dwaarkill) in the presence of his loving wife Sandra, his caregiver Valerie Dombrowski and his constant companion, Pippa the cat. He was 83.,
He was born to the late Warren Brundage DuBois, Sr. and Roberta B. (McCord) DuBois.
Warren is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sandra (Sandy) at home; his sons Frank (Patsy) DuBois of Fredericksburg VA, Keith (Lynda) DuBois of Shreveport LA, and Kevin DuBois of Shreveport LA; his stepchildren Andrew (Karen) Ritter of Tierra Verde, FL, Gretchen Ritter of Syracuse, NY, Matthew (Leslie) Ritter of Middletown, NY, and Alexander Ritter of Pine Bush; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Anita (James) Gilbert of Wallkill, George (Sherril) DuBois of Decatur, TX, Samuel DuBois of Wallkill, and Johanna (Andrew) Levine of Travelers Rest, SC. There are many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Warren will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. He was tolerant and accepting of others and never flaunted his intelligence. Warren was a kind and gracious man, ever willing to extend himself to someone in need.
Warren was a lifelong member of the Shawangunk Reformed Church, having served as a deacon, an elder, and member of the Faith in Action committee with his wife Sandra. He was an alumnus of Pine Bush Central Schools, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He served in the United States Air Force for six years, before becoming a department manager for IBM in both East Fishkill, NY and in Manassas, VA. He was the owner/operator of the Autumn Springs Farm in Dwaarkill, NY. He was also a member of the Pine Bush VFW, the Shawangunk/Gardiner Historical Society, and the DuBois Family Association in New Paltz.
Warren’s family will miss him “until the cows come home!”
