William Thiel of Conway, SC, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, in South Carolina. He was 87.
The son of the late Elliot and Dorothy Cavanagh Thiel, he was born March 16, 1934 in Teaneck, NJ.
William served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957.
He was the widower of Joan Hencke Thiel.
Survivors include his son William A. Thiel and his life partner, Helen Greg, son David W. Thiel, daughter, Dawn McGraw and her husband Robert; grandchildren: Jessica Thiel and her husband Jesse Hildebrand, Justin McGraw and his fiance’ Jill Housekeeper, Aaron McGraw and his wife, Alexandra, William E. Thiel and his wife, Adrienne, and James McGraw; great grandchildren: Peyton Culhane, Justin McGraw, Jr., Link Hildebrand and Adrienne Thiel
A graveside service will take place Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m at Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
