CITY OF NEWBURGH PUBLIC NOTICE

PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Newburgh will hold a 2nd Public Hearing on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 83 Broadway, City Hall, 3rd Floor, Newburgh, New York to receive public comment regarding the housing and community development needs of the City of Newburgh and hear public comment on the City of Newburgh’s proposed actions concerning the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the 2025-2029 Five Year Consolidated Plan and Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Action Plan. The City of Newburgh receives annual entitlement funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City of Newburgh proposes to fund FY2025 CDBG projects that support Housing Infrastructure Improvement, Economic Development and Quality of Life activities. Comments on the FY2025 Annual Action Plan will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The City of Newburgh is now preparing a one-year Annual Action Plan for FY 2025 in order to implement various elements of the strategies identified in its Consolidated Plan and must satisfy all statutory requirements, including those related to citizen participation. Spanish interpretation services will be available for the Public Hearing. The City of Newburgh City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities.
