Local municipalities will be flushing fire hydrants soon. When flushing takes place, water may be cloudy or discolored for a short period afterwards.

Highlands: In Highland Falls flushing will take place the week of October 12-16, Mayor Jim DiSalvo said. With questions about the flushing process, contact the Water Department at 845-446-3252. In the town outside of the village, Fort Montgomery, flushing hydrants will be the week of October 19-23.
