The Cornwall Town Board has increased the rate to charge an electric vehicle at the chargers in front of Town Hall as 30 cents per kilowatt hour, up from the current 24 cents. The cost to the town is 12 cents per kilowatt hour, but, it was noted at the September 15 meeting, there are additional costs associated with having the chargers, including the wifi service they need to operate. The board unanimously approved the 30 cents, noting that the average in this area at municipal chargers is between 28 and 32 cents, and added that the 30 cents matches the Cornwall-on-Hudson price. The chargers are up and working, Supervisor Josh Wojehowksi said. There will soon be an app to download to use, but for now there is a QR code to scan to get into the system
