By Kevin Childs, Formerly of Highland Falls
Played football; Red Raider, Small; played on defense
The lightest left tackle; Quite fast, games were tense
One time I was injured Quite badly on-field
When they carried me off Many cheers it did yield
That game was the last I played for my school
Student athlete; retired! They claimed ‘twas the rule
Liability loomed In the Sixties, it seemed I was benched; did not play
Career had been creamed
Go Red Raiders, Sis Boom Bah! Win Section Nine......Rah, Rah, Rah !
And Back in MY time.......
Raiders beat-up Monroe. They were EVER too slow.
Valley Central laid down when they came to our town.
Little Cornwall up North. Finished THEM with a fork
Raiders had the right potion; when competing with Goshen.
And then finally...Pine Bush. Kicked the “Bush” in the tush!
