NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Plattekill Fire District No. 1, in the Town of Plattekill, Ulster County, New York, at a special meeting thereof held on July 18, 2024, duly adopted a resolution authorizing the appropriation and expenditure from the Plattekill Fire District Capitol Reserve Fund, for the emergency acquisition and payment for the costs of a used ambulance for an amount not to exceed $68,000, subject to a Permissive Referendum:
An abstract of that resolution is as follows
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Plattekill Fire District expend a sum not to exceed Sixth Eight Thousand and 00/100 ($68,000.00) dollars from the duly created Plattekill Fire District Capital Reserve Fund for the emergency purchase of a used ambulance to replace ambulance #645 after a catastrophic failure of its engine in order to continue to provide the high standard of emergency response services of the Plattekill Fire Department in the discharge of its duties in preserving the lives of the residents of the Plattekill Fire District; and
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the adoption of this Resolution is subject to permissive referendum pursuant to Section 6g (4) of the General Municipal Law of New York and shall take effect thirty (30) days after publication of this abstract, unless there shall be filed a valid petition with the Fire District Secretary within such time in accordance with General Municipal Law.
