The Newburgh City Council approved to amend the 2022 Personnel Analysis Book for the city that would delete a Desktop Technician and create a new Information and Technology Systems Administrator in the city’s IT Department on Monday, November 14.

The resolution was presented by City of Newburgh Information Systems Manager Nicholas Crispino during the work session on Thursday, November 10. According to City Manager Todd Venning, this is a new title and the position has added new responsibilities for the employee within the role. The council had the information available to them to review should they have any questions.

During the council comment period, Councilman Anthony Grice inquired about the number of people within the IT department. According to Crispino, the city’s IT Department team has three members which includes Crispino, only two technicians and one account clerk.

“I do think that perhaps that’s a department that we should look at next year, as far as what that department needs to make sure that we’re meeting the demands that are there currently for the city,” stated Grice.
