David “Dave” J. Valenzuela Sr., of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday, February 4, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. He was 55. 

He was born March 4, 1965, son of the late Jesus and Sharon (Traver) Valenzuela Sr.
Dave was a lumber yard manager with Marjam Supply Company in Newburgh. One of his greatest enjoyments was bowling at Tarsio Lanes in Newburgh. He also had a fondness of fishing, hunting, and playing darts.
Dave is survived by his son David J. Valenzuela Jr.; Brothers George and Laurie Valenzuela of Medford, NY, Jesus R. Valenzuela Jr. and wife Dawn of Newburgh; Sisters; Elaina Patterson and husband Charles of Newburgh, Heather Mitzner and husband Eddie of Wallkill. Grandson Landon Valenzuela. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Predeceasing him was a sister Christina Jenkins.
A funeral service was held  Wednesday, February 10t at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, Newburgh. Burial was  at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
