Arriving units discovered smoke coming from the third floor of the multiple dwelling at 33 S. Miller. A second alarm was called as firefighters stretched hoses into the structure and accessed the roof for ventilation.

Most of the fire was knocked down within the first ten minutes, but firefighters remained on the scene for over an hour.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
