Forgit retained as Assistant Superintendent

The Newburgh Board of Education voted 5-3 and approved an employment agreement with Edward Forgit to serve as the Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s Deputy Superintendent. The contract will run from November 28, 2023 to June 30, 2027.

According to contract documents on the district website, the Deputy Superintendent shall be paid at the annual rate of $245,000 through June 30, 2024 plus longevity amounts. Salary increases shall be granted of 3.0% effective July 1, 2024, 3.0% effective July 1, 2025 and 3.0% effective July 1, 2026. The salary would be reviewed on an annual basis.

The Deputy Superintendent shall be entitled to longevity pay in addition to annual salary at the annual rate of $15,000, increasing to $17,500 effective upon the 15th anniversary date of employment.
