I support Scott Manley

I am writing in support of Scott Manley for Town of Newburgh Supervisor.

I have known Scott for many years, and I can say without hesitation that he is one of the most honest, hardworking, and principled people I have had the privilege of knowing. Those qualities are not something you simply claim during an election—they are demonstrated consistently through the way a person conducts himself and serves his community.

As Deputy Supervisor, Scott has been instrumental in helping bring new businesses and opportunities to the Town of Newburgh. Just as importantly, he has demonstrated a genuine commitment to the residents he serves. When a resident has a problem or concern, Scott is the kind of person who responds. He listens, follows up, and works to find a solution.

What I particularly admire about Scott is his ability to look beyond an individual issue or special interest and consider the bigger picture. His decisions are based on what he believes is best for the Town of Newburgh as a whole—not what is best for one particular individual, organization, or entity. That kind of independent judgment is extremely important in a town supervisor.

Local government is also different from national politics. Regardless of one’s political affiliation, residents deserve a supervisor who will work with people, listen to different points of view, and put the interests of the community first. I believe Scott has consistently demonstrated those qualities.

I hope the residents of Newburgh will take the time to look beyond political labels and consider the person, his record of service, and the character he has demonstrated over the years.

For me, the choice is clear: Scott Manley is someone I trust to put the Town of Newburgh first.
