Jose A. Soto, of Wallkill, entered into rest on Sunday, May 28, 2023. He was 38.
Son of Humberto and Luz Rodriguez, he was born July 18, 1984 in Trenton, NJ.
Jose was a machine operator for Amscan on Rt. 17K, Newburgh. He was a hard worker, his co-workers enjoyed his positive energy and was always willing to help anyone. He loved spending time with family and was a very spiritual soul. He enjoyed watching basketball, reading and was a talented artistic drawer. He loved spreading positivity amongst one another and was always willing to give so unselfishly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers, Jose D. Alicea of FL, William Alicea of PA and Christopher Alicea of TX; step brothers, Marcos N. Rodriguez and Pablo M. Rodriguez, both of Wallkill; sisters, Jessica Vazquez of NJ, Jennifer Vazquez of LA , Marisol Alicea of FL, Janette Alicea of FL, Noemi Alicea of PA, Grisela Alicea of Fl, and Beatriz Alicea, also of FL; and “princess” niece, Avianna Michelle Flores.
He was predeceased by a brother, Luis O. Santiago.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 5, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12noon at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon at the Funeral Home, officiating will be Father Fernando Hernandez. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
