Laura E. Marcantonio, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was 60.
Daughter of the late Terry and Nancy (Lanner) Ayres, she was born December, 1962 in Newburgh.
Laura, a lifelong area resident, spent time as a babysitter and caregiver to many. She liked arts and crafts, nature, and loved all things SpongeBob SquarePants.
Survivors include her husband, Salvatore “Sal” A. Marcantonio; two sons, Michael Marcantonio and his fiancé, Victoria Hogan of the Town of Newburgh and Salvatore A. Marcantonio, Jr., and his wife, Marianne of the Town of Newburgh; one daughter, Angela Marcantonio of the Town of Newburgh; and four grandchildren, Malani, Logan, Leo and Lucas.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh.
Memorial Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh. A service will follow at 6:00 pm, at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
