Mark Colandrea, age 68, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at approximately 7:30 AM.

After a life filled with dedication, love, and service, he is finally free.

Born on October 16, 1957, in Newburgh, New York, Mark was the son of the late Louis and Irene Colandrea. He grew up on a vibrant family farm alongside his nine brothers and sisters, learning the value of hard work and community from a young age.

Mark spent his career working with his hands and guiding others as a dedicated Construction Foreman for Local 17. He was an avid softball player some would say a legend Aka BEAR! Known affectionately as a "gentle giant," his imposing stature was matched only by the size of his heart. He was loved by everyone who crossed his path. Beyond his career, Mark was incredibly passionate about supporting local youth, volunteering countless hours as a community umpire and referee for kids' sports. He coached all of his children's sports. He was a devout man who deeply loved the Lord, and he found great joy in cheering for his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and WWE.

Mark’s legacy lives on through his wife of 50 years and two surviving children, his four cherished grandchildren, and his great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his surviving brothers and sisters, as well as a large, loving extended family of multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was reunited in eternal rest with his parents, three of his siblings, and his youngest son.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 5pm-7pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home 22 Bank Street Walden, NY 12586.
