Martha Marie Kraus of Newburgh, NY passed away on August 10, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. She was 70 years old. Martha was born in Matamoros, Mexico on April 3, 1956. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and time spent with those she loved meant everything to her.
She found happiness in life’s simple things, including an early morning cup of coffee, time in the sun, chatting and laughing with loved ones. She never lost the youthful spirit within her and remained a kid at heart, holding onto her sense of fun. She loved to shop and explored tarot cards and astrology. She remained a devoted fan of General Hospital, after all these years.
She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the steady love she gave so freely. The memories she created will remain a lasting comfort to all who knew and loved her.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Marisa Kraus of Newburgh; sons, Larry Kraus Jr. of Las Vegas and Richard Kraus of Poughkeepsie; seven grandchildren, Larry III, Calli, Leila, Xavier, Alicia, Richard Jr. "RJ" and Jayden; two great grandchildren, Jaciella and Ace.
Cremation and services will be private at the discretion of the family.
