“Consistent, timely encouragement has the staggering magnetic power to draw an immortal soul to the God of hope. The one whose name is Wonderful Counselor.”
- Charles R. Swindoll

This September, Meadow Hill School is supporting Childhood Cancer Awareness Month while honoring the memory of Johnny Sileno, a former Meadow Hill student whose legacy continues in our community.
“Students are invited to bring in change or any amount they’d like to donate, to benefit the Johnny Sileno Wishes for Wellness Foundation.

If every student brought in just one quarter, we could raise over $250! The PTO is encouraging students, staff and teachers on Friday, September 25 - WEAR GOLD!

“Donations are accepted through September 30. Cash, change, or checks payable to MHS PTO. Let’s honor Johnny and make change for children—one coin at a time.” It is with gratitude to Meadow Hill School PTO for sharing this heart-braking reality and significant cause with the community.

In 1978, President James Carter signed a bill proclaiming Grandparent’s Day to be celebrated nationwide, on the Sunday after Labor Day, this year on September 13. Also, it also signifies the autumn years of life, that honor grandparents and gives them an opportunity to show their love for their children’s children. It reinforces the strength, information, and guidance from older people. Happy blessings, you color our world with rainbows of joy.

James Formato, grandfather of Isabella Delgato, was proud to share happy family school news with the community, as her past three years at Scranton University have been quite exciting! She has been a contributing factor to the Women’s indoor and outdoor track team, winning several medals in the 200, 400-meter individual races; 4x4 relay and 4x2 relay, and also a member of the University’s Orchestra playing the bass.

Formato stated, “Isabella contributed to the first time University of Scranton women’s track and field winning the championship of their conference twice. She is daughter of Michelle and Saul Delgado, granddaughter of Carmine, and Sharon and James R. Formato. Her brother, Anthony M. Delgado, is in his final year of a 2-year welding program at Delhi University and will be inducted into a National Welding Honor Society this month.”

Continued best wishes to students who exemplify the benefits of sports, music and education with other extra-curricular activities.

May you always have an angel at your side.
