Newburgh boys 8th at OCIAA Championships

Brady Danyluk and Devin Batelic were 31st and 32nd leading the Newburgh Free Academy boys’ cross-country team to an eighth-place finish at the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association championships on Saturday at Sanfordville Elementary School in Warwick.
 
They both finished with identical times of 17:56.7. 
 
Joseph Gaito and Joey Santo were 50th and 55th. Miles Davis and Anthony were 63rd and 65th respectively. Kiernan Judson was 81st.
 
Monroe-Woodbury won the event with 28 points. Newburgh finished with 222 points.
Mary Jane Politi was 24th to lead the girls’ team to an 11th-place finish with 220 points.  Cornwall won the team championship with 38 points.
 
Natalie Sweat finished 32nd and Alexandra Wink was 43rd. Isabella Blanco was 57th, Julia Coyle was 69th and Emma Smith was 87th.
