The Town of Newburgh Planning Board granted architectural review board approval for the Harbor Freights project and for the Newburgh Mall facade at their meeting on July 18. The Newburgh Mall is in the midst of construction with new storefronts anticipated to open. The mall concept will now be converted into a shopping center meaning no interior hallway and storefronts being accessible from the front of the business. A new pylon sign with a new name for the site now called “The Newburgh” would be featured in the front of the site.

New national tenants will be looking to make their move to the mall once it is ready. Planet Fitness, Harbor Freights and O’Reilly Auto Parts have since been announced during planning board meetings.
