The Newburgh Wants A Park campaign will be hosting a public feast and forum event on Saturday, August 5 at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center on 321 South William Street. The community discussion and feast will start at 3 p.m. and go till 5 p.m.

The “Newburgh Wants A Park” campaign is a community-driven initiative that is seeking to recognize and convert Crystal Lake in Ward 3 of the City of Newburgh into a fully usable city park. The campaign also seeks to protect the Snake Hill Corridor. The event will be an opportunity for community members from the city and surrounding areas to share and hear ideas about the park, meet new neighbors and enjoy a free meal. Childcare will also be provided at the event for those with children in attendance.
