Proud to support leaders who put Newburgh families first

As an Orange County Legislator representing the Town of Newburgh, I could not be more proud of the Democratic slate running to lead our community this November.

Our candidates—Stephen Krasner for Town Supervisor, Jen Knox for Town Clerk, and Kenyon Trachte for Town Justice — have earned dual endorsements from both Congressman Pat Ryan and the Working Families Party. Earning the trust of both Pat Ryan and the WFP reflects the broad, principled coalition this slate has built.

Congressman Pat Ryan’s endorsement stands for service, integrity, and putting community over entrenched special interests. His support underscores that our town deserves leaders who show up, tell the truth, and champion transparency and accountability in local government.

At the same time, the Working Families Party endorsement signals a shared commitment to everyday residents. It reflects values rooted in economic fairness, protecting neighborhood affordability, and ensuring local government delivers real results for working- and middle-class families rather than corporate insiders.

Each member of this slate brings the experience and dedication our town needs:

Stephen Krasner (Town Supervisor) will bring fiscal discipline, ethical stewardship, and smart, responsible development that protects taxpayers and supports local businesses.

Jen Knox (Town Clerk) will draw on two decades of public service to transform the Clerk’s Office into an open, welcoming hub with modern constituent services and accessible communication.

Kenyon Trachte (Town Justice) will bring 20 years of courtroom experience to the bench, ensuring fair, equal justice while championing treatment-focused solutions to strengthen neighborhood safety.

Our neighbors want proactive, honest governance. By uniting behind leaders who honor both public service and the daily needs of working families, the Town of Newburgh can build a brighter, more accountable future. Look for Stephen Krasner, Jen Knox, and Kenyon Trachte on the Democratic and Working Families Party ballot lines this November when you go to cast your vote.
