QUES&T proposal presented to City Council

Posted

Newburgh City Council were presented with an agreement with Quality Environmental Solutions & Technologies, Inc. (QUES&T) in the amount of $1,302 for professional services associated with a pre-demolition asbestos survey at 47 Lutheran St. The cost for the services from QUES&T would be derived from line A.1440.0455 titled “Consultant Services”.

City Engineer Jason Morris presented the item on Thursday night reporting the property was recently acquired by the city and has a vacant structurally deficient structure on the back of it. The city is required to perform asbestos testing on the structure before consideration of demolition. Several Lutheran Street properties were subject to a recent multi-building structure fire. The council would look to vote on this agreement at their next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 24.
