Sending get-well wishes to Regina Angelo

Posted

Greetings from River City,  Regina Angelo transferred from St. Luke’s to Ten Broeck Rehabilitation Center in Lake Katrine after having a brain bleed. She is able to speak and as anyone who knows Regina would expect, she is concerned about the Memorial Day Parade, which she always works so hard to get together to honor those service men and women who died while serving our country.

You can imagine how hard it is for her to be in the rehab, and not doing. I don’t think she ever wastes a minute of her life…Regina is a “Doer”.  She would welcome hearing from you, cards or notes. Ten Broeck Rehabilitation Center, 1 Commons Drive, Lake Katrine, NY 12449.  She would welcome your prayers, as well. God bless you, get well, dear Regina.

This Memorial Day Weekend, Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site will present, “From Badge of Military Merit to Purple Heart,” in honor of those who are serving or have served our country. The presentation will take place on Saturday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at the site’s Museum.

This special presentation is free with admission, which includes a guided tour of the historic Headquarters and the freedom to explore the Museum, which houses such exhibits as Unpacked & Rediscovered: Selections from Washington’s Headquarters’ Collection, George Washington: Perspectives on His Life and Legacy, The Preservation of Washington’s Headquarters, and the Junior Curator Project 2020.

If you will, please add Diane McKiernan to your prayers.  Diane’s has had a rough time regarding her health. She is a very dear person who never complains despite the seriousness of her health problems. I will always remember the boat excursions from out of West Point that she arranged, inviting family and friends to enjoy. Diane and her husband Billy (who is deceased) gave the whole day a feeling of happy camaraderie. Joe and I with our family were always delighted to take part. God bless you, dear Diane.
