Sharon Marie Meyers, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was 82.
Daughter of the late Walter M. and Margaret (Jonigian) Lewis, she was born March 15, 1944 in New York, NY.
A longtime area resident, Sharon was a retired Lead Supervisor with Newburgh Auro Auction, Newburgh, NY. She loved to laugh and talk to people and was devoted to her family. She always looked at the bright side of things and her favorite phrase was “This too shall pass”. She also enjoyed trips to the Atlantic City Casino’s.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 year, Harold T. Meyers; three daughters, Dawn R. (Chip Long) Meyers of the Town of Newburgh, Ann Marie (Thomas Wilson) Meyers of Dingmans Ferry, PA, and Susan A. ( Saverio) DeRuggiero of Orange City, FL.; two grandchildren, Mikayla and Anna along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, Sean Walter Meyers in 2025 and a brother, Garry Croney.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
