There is something happening that has escaped the attention it deserves. In 2020 many salespeople were selling solar panels door to door. It seemed like a good buy. There was a 25-year period to pay. What isn’t mentioned is that if you want to cancel the contract, you have to pay the remaining price. Often the company selling the panels went bankrupt and often the company acquiring them did as well. It is often difficult to det repairs if needed. Often you have to wait weeks for a repair but still pay the cost. I urge New York State to step up, institute consumer protection for the consumers and have criminal investigations against the companies selling and supposedly maintaining the solar panels.
