An inspection by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets on May 31, 2022 indicates a “Satisfactory” rating for Dog Shelter Services and Dog Control Officer Services at the Town of Newburgh Animal Control. During the inspection, equipment available for proper capture and holding, transportation safety, clean and sanitary housing and equipment, veterinary care, seizure and disposition records, adoptions, identifying owners of lost dogs, ventilation, lighting, impoundment fees, and other indicators were assessed.
