The Newburgh Town Board, Monday night approved a bond resolution for facilities improvements at the Chadwick Lake Water Filtration Plant.
The bond resolution for $1,823,900 is necessitated by the pending temporary closure of the New York City Delaware Aqueduct, the town’s other reservoir source. When that occurs, the town will rely exclusively on the Chadwick Lake reservoir supply.
While the project is being financed through the bond resolution, Town Clerk Joe Pedi confirmed that the town will be reimbursed by New York City once the work is completed.
