Cornwall Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle off the roadway on the northbound Thruway on Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered the vehicle positioned on top of a tree, resulting in heavy entrapment. Car one from Cornwall FD quickly assessed the scene, and Cornwall EMS requested the launch of a Medevac for immediate assistance. Firefighters diligently worked on extricating the trapped individual from the vehicle. A Medevac was deployed and landed on the northbound lane of the Thruway to transport the individual to a medical facility promptly. The New York State Police are currently investigating the cause of the incident. As of now, there is no available information about the condition or identity of the person trapped in the vehicle.
