David Martinez, of Plattekill, entered into rest on Friday, April 19, 2024. He was 75.
Son of the late Angelo and Ilia (Rodriguez) Martinez, he was born January 21, 1949 in Manhattan.
A long time area resident, he proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force. David was a retired Draftsman with McNally Engineering, LLC in Oakland, NJ. He enjoyed playing poker and dominoes with family, and was a Mets and Giants fan. David also enjoyed watching history movies. He also collected baseball cards. Above all, was family to David.
Survivors include his wife Migdalia E. Martinez, of Plattekill. He was predeceased by a son, David Martinez. Surviving sons are Marc and Justin (Hailey) Martinez, both of Delaware; stepdaughter, Nicole Ortiz of Ellenville, NY; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn, David and Blake Martinez, Angel, Victor, Lylia and Joell Garcia, and Armoni, Aundrea Ortiz; several Titi’s and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents and son he was predeceased by his step father, Silverio Cintron, and a stepson, Gerald L. Ortiz, II.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
