Dominic A. Affuso, 90, a lifelong resident of Marlboro, entered into rest on December 27, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones. The son of the late Rose (Padrone) and Paul Affuso. He was born September 5, 1933 in Marlboro. Dominic was a US Navy Korean War veteran, serving on the USS Abbot, which he took great pride in. Dominic married the love of his life, Barbara Jo, on September 8, 1956.

Dominic was a devoted family man who cherished his 66-year journey with his wife, Barbara Jo. He loved being with family and sharing authentic traditional Italian food. Known for his unwavering dedication, persistence, and lifelong commitment to hard work, Dominic took immense pride in his accomplishments. He was the founder and owner of Affuso's Oil. His generous spirit was evident in every aspect of his life. Dominic's legacy of hard work, love for his family, and passion for food will always be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children, Ricky (Michelle) Affuso, Dominic R. (Jen) Affuso, Robyn Marquis, Jeffrey (Toby) Affuso, Beth (John) McNelis; grandchildren Erica (Billy) Affuso, Kayleigh (Nicolas) Bozzo, Lindsey Marquis, Kourtney (Eric) Cassalina, Mackenzie McNelis, Kelsie (Michael) McNelis, Dominic H. Affuso, William McNelis, Luke Affuso, Dominic P. Affuso; great-grandchildren Ava and Aria Bozzo, Rowan Marquis, and Easton and Everly Cassalina along with many other cherished family members.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Jo. His sister Camille Affuso, brothers - in -law Robert Milner, William Cambra, grandson John David McNelis, nieces Jacqueline Teliho & Jeanie Lou Hickle and nephew William Cambra.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2 from 4-7 p.m. at The DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Rt 9W, Marlboro, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 3 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:30am

Entombment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Route 9W Newburgh, NY.
