Children’s programs will return this September! Registration for the Marlboro Library’s Children’s Fall Programs, including story times and family events, will open on Wednesday, September 14 at 10 a.m. See marlborolibrary.org for program descriptions, coming soon!

All are welcome to attend Marlboro Library’s Book Club! During September’s meeting, our Book Club will be discussing Maid by Stephanie Land.

Book Club will meet in-person at the Marlboro Library on Wednesday, September 28 at 7 p.m. Copies of September’s selection have been ordered and are available for pick-up. Registration is required. Register online at marlborolibrary.org.

Open the first and third Saturday of the month from now until October, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (weather permitting), the Friends of the Marlboro Free Library’s Book Barn sells good-quality, used books to help benefit the library.

To visit the Book Barn during its open hours, park in the library back parking lot and follow the path down to the red shed. During open hours, the Book Barn will accept book donations that are in good, clean condition.

Follow The Friends of the Marlboro Free Library on Facebook for any weather-related updates and for information on future Friends events!

On Wednesday, September 14 & September 21, at 6:30 p.m., adults can come to the Marlboro Library for one or both sessions and make your own unique jewelry! Participants who have beads they no longer use are encouraged to bring them in to swap or share with other attendees. The library will provide some basic jewelry making supplies, such as beads and tools. Participants are encouraged to bring their own jewelry making tools (pliers) if they have them, as the library has a limited amount.

Craft sessions will be in-person in the community room. There is no Take & Make option for this program. Registration is required as spaces are limited. Please register for each session you will attend. Register online at marlborolibrary.org.

Join us at the Marlboro Library on Thursday, September 22 at 7 p.m. to relax and listen to a musical performance by classical guitarist and local musician, Eric Roth. Eric will perform the classical songs of Capirola, da Milano, Sanz, and more, and will also provide information on his authentic reproduction guitar, repertoire, and the history of the composers and songs played. Light beverages and snacks will be served.

Registration is required. Register online at marlborolibrary.org.

The Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library plans a special “Feed & Read” book and tag sale to find happy homes for its used books, toys, craft items and furnishings - on September 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The library event has two important goals:  to free up space to prepare for recarpeting and painting the library, and to collect non-perishable, unexpired food items for a local food pantry. On Saturday, bargain-hunters can visit the library grounds on Main Street in Milton to fill up grocery bags of library items for a $5 donation to the library. Shoppers can also exchange food products for books! Library Anime Club members offer their individual wares for sale, too.

The book sale will continue indoors during library hours from September 19 through September 23. (Please note that the library has hundreds of books to sell, and so will not be accepting donated books.)
