Felix Cancel, 95, of Wallkill, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 4, 1924 in Manati, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Gregorio and Providencia (Quinonez) Cancel.

On October 22, 1985 at Brooklyn, New York, he married Luz Maria Natal. They have been together for 34 years.

Felix was really good with his hands and loved to fix things around the house, so it was only natural that he became the Go-To Man at his job. He was always the first to be called whenever anything needed solving. Felix was a printer by trade and worked for LaSalle Printing District 65 Union in Manhattan, until he retired in 1989.

Family was everything to Felix and he delighted in all family gatherings. He enjoyed watching westerns on the TV and loved to laugh. He had a great sense of humor. Going to flea markets was one of his hobbies and finding a good buy, or making a good sale made his day. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Felix was a calm, simple soul and everybody he came in contact with, loved him and he loved everyone back.

Survivors include his wife, Luz Maria (Natal) Cancel; his two daughters, Zulma Hernandez of Daytona Beach, FL and Brunilda Ortega of Pembrook Pines, FL; his two sons, Roman Silva Jr. of Plattekill, and David Silva of Gardiner; and his numerous grandchildren, great -grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother and three sisters.
