Guy W. Banker, 61, of Gardiner, New York passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at his home.
Born July 29, 1959 in Peekskill, New York, he was the son of the late Richard and Iris (Colbert) Dixon.

Guy met and married Barbara L. Anderson. He was self-employed as a handyman.

Guy enjoyed spending his free time with his son going to watch the races. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Guy was an amazing and proud grandfather. He really enjoyed attending the annual Lake George car shows. Guy has many nick names including Wing Nut, Earnhardt, G-Banks and Larry the cable guy. Guy had many friends in which he enjoyed hanging out with. Guy never really showed up due to an invite. He was more like the pop in type. Although if he was invited, he was the first one there and the last one to leave. His favorite pop in time over the last year plus was around 6:00 dinner time at Ricky and Lexy’s. He loved being with his family. Over the last year of his life, Guy moved to his apartment in Gardiner in which he built with his own two hands from top to bottom. He was a great handyman that could build and fix just about anything. Guy will be sadly missed by many people. He made friends easily and touched many hearts with his contagious laugh. We will truly miss Guy’s famous phrase, “I’ve been doing this all of my life.”

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Banker of Clintondale, NY; his son, Richard Banker and his fiancé , Lexy of Plattekill, NY; his sisters, Julie Villalonga and her husband, Robert of Plattekill, NY and Holly Schultz and her husband, Kevin of Wallkill, NY; five grandchildren, Nick, Dylan, Paige, Paislee & Gracie of Plattekill, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
