Since its founding in 1992, the Brentano String Quartet has performed to popular and critical acclaim across five continents. “Passionate, uninhibited and spellbinding,” raves the London Independent; the New York Times extols its “luxuriously warm sound [and] yearning lyricism”. The members of the quartet are currently Artists-in-Residence at the Yale School of Music.
For their 14th visit to the HCMC series — they first appeared in 1995! — the Brentano String Quartet will perform works by Haydn and Beethoven, as well as the world premiere of “Where is Our Home?,” by composer Lei Liang.
HCMC now offers a ticket pricing structure to include music lovers who may have been unable to afford our tickets in the past. A limited number of tickets will be available on a pay-what-you-wish basis. These tickets will be released one week prior to each concert.
