I met up with John Smith at a local car show in Kingston back in October. John, whose hometown is High f\Falls, was there with his 1929 Ford Roadster replica that he built himself. John said that took approximately 11 ½ months to complete.

John’s Roadster sports a 383 Stroker engine with 525 horsepower. It has a 350 Turbo Automatic Transmission. The color of the car is Molten Orange Pearl. He has had the car since 2016. It has 13,000 miles on it since built. John’s nickname for his Roadster is “Scary Fast” because on the second day after it was built, he opened it up, acceleration wise and lifted the front wheels off the ground, also known as popping a wheelie.

I asked John what his best moment with his car was to date, he advised the first time he was able to drive it after being built. He said he loves to drive his Roadster to the sounds of 50’s & 60’s Rock and Roll music. John enjoys supporting local car shows and being with friends talking about cars. He said his best buddy to cruise with is George Nielson.
