Kick off the holiday season at the Walkway

Santa will arrive at the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park at the Ulster Welcome Center on Sunday, November 28. Bring your kids, your dogs—the whole family—for this fun photo opportunity with Santa. Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen will also be on hand for fun holiday photos. 

Along with the fun photos and meet & greet - there will be a hot cocoa bar and a group of classic yuletide carolers. Photos taken with Santa and Frozen characters will be available for purchase, for a suggested donation of $10, or visitors may take their own photos. 

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - photos/meet & greet with Santa 
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - photos/meet & greet with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff & Olaf. 
 
Town of Lloyd Events Committee 

The Town of Lloyd Events Committee meets the second Monday of the month, as needed for events, at 7pm in the meeting room of Town Hall, 12 Church Street, Highland.
 
 Light Up the Hamlet 

Friday, December 10th Light Up the Hamlet is back! The Town of Lloyd Events Committee is happy to host the annual holiday celebration from 6-8pm. Be sure to save the date, and check back with the Events Committee to find out what fun activities they have in store.

Events and Activities: 

Create A Turkey Card. Registration is required. Truck card kits are available through our curbside service until Saturday, November 20. Kits are limited to 10 and registration is required. Please register each child who will be getting a kit. We will have a craft themed book for you to check out if you choose. The book will be checked out to you and due in 3 weeks. 
Crafts need to be picked up within week of craft. 
 
Curbside: Mini Yarn
Hats Ornaments 

This super easy and super cute yarn hat is a great craft for anyone to make. Use these adorable hats as ornaments, decor, package tags  or anything else you can think of. This week’s yarn selection is red and green. 
Registration opens on November 15. 

For ages 10 +  Mini Knit Hat Kits are available to be picked up through our curbside service or by stopping in until Saturday, Nov. 20. There are only 7 kits available for the week.  The kit cardboard roll, yarn and instructions. Registration is required.

Curbside: Paper Spinners
Craft Kit 

For ages 8-12.  Paper Spinners Craft Kits  are available to be picked up through our curbside service or by stopping in all week long until Saturday, Nov. 20.  There are only 10 kits available for the week.  The kit includes template, string and instructions. Registration is required. 

New to the craft kits are a book that will go with the subject of the craft. Book needs to be returned within 3 weeks from when you checked it out. 

Beginning Loom Knitting 

Having difficulty maneuvering knitting needles? Try loom knitting. 
This class is for new loomers or just to brush up on your previous skills. 
We will cover how to wrap the loom and the basic knit stitch for making a hat.  
Hat pattern will be provided. 

We will not be creating a project, if you would like to keep your work, please check out a round loom from the Library of Things in the library, or bring your own.
