This year’s Memorial Day parade, themed. Remembering the Sacrifice of Service, began in Milton this year and ended at Cluett Shantz Memorial Park.

A special thanks to Marlboro Recreation Committee, The American Legion Viebey-Sutton Post 124, and Town of Marlborough Highway Dept. and all who participated to make this year’s parade an enormous success!

School news/events
Kudos to our Students of the Month for May, who were honored during a Board of Education meeting last week. They are Samantha Consorti from Marlboro High School, Dylan Rheal from Marlboro Middle School, and Layla Warren from Marlboro Elementary School. Congratulations and keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Marlboro High School Spanish teacher Jessica Migge and Marlboro Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Rachel Vallone, who were awarded tenure during a Board of Education meeting on May 23. We are proud of their hard work and commitment to the Marlboro Central School District!

Marlboro Elementary School students’ hearts and stomachs were filled once again at the annual International Picnic on May 23. During the event, Grade 3 students got to sample a variety of foods from countries around the world. The celebration was a culmination of their study of culture and diversity. Thank you to all of the teachers and volunteers who helped make the event a success!

The athletic accolades keep coming in! This time let’s hear it for the Marlboro Varsity Girls Golf team, which earned the Section IX Team Champion title this season! The win was extra special for Coach Gary Trapani, not only because it was the first sectional championship won by any Marlboro golf team ever, but his daughter, Grade 8 student Alexa Trapani, finished in third place overall, which will go down in school history as one of the best finishes ever. Congratulations!
