I would like to take this opportunity to address the recent full page advertisement trying to slander me paid for by the Republican party. The ad refers to a gentleman’s agreement of not putting political signs up 30 days prior to the election. However, being a past vice chairman of the party as well as conferring with three past chairmen and our current Democratic chairman none of us have any knowledge of this so-called agreement. There is no law stopping me or anyone else from putting political signs up now. So why are the Republican signs not out?

Perhaps their chairperson Bud Walker forgot to order them. Why did they waste funds on a costly full page ad just to inform the public that we put our political signs up first? Whatever the reason is, it’s curious that they call me out when I am one of three names on the sign. The reality is they see me as a threat to their mission of developing every square inch of our town until there’s not a blade of grass or tree left standing. For example, the 197 senior living cottages at the Villages will be about 7 feet apart. Think about that. They don’t like me questioning their decisions to hold them accountable. They know as long as I am in office I will not let them frivolously spend our tax dollars.
