Serafina “Fina” Marguglio, 86, of Highland, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born October 20, 1933 in Palermo Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Rosina Salomoni.
On February 16, 1957 at La Carra Fride in Palermo, Sicily, Fina married Salvatore Marguglio. They had over 63 years together before he passed away on August 10, 2019.
Fina was a kind lady who adored her family and friends. She loved to cook Italian food for everyone who came to the house, and was happy to bring food to other homes as well. Anyone who came for a visit always went home with a full belly. Fina was a talented seamstress and made many beautiful clothes and did alterations to provide for her family.
Survivors include her sons, Carlo Marguglio and his wife, Susan of New Paltz, and Dino Marguglio and his wife, Stacy of New Paltz, NY; her four grandchildren, Dominic Marguglio and his wife, Alanna of New Paltz, NY, Cassie Masterson and her husband, Hugh of Highland, Sarah Ostrowski and her husband Jesse of New Paltz, , and Anthony Marguglio of New Paltz; two great-grandchildren, Logan Marguglio of New Paltz, and Austin Masterson of Highland.
