Express Yourself at our third Annual End of the School Year Chalk Walk on Wednesday, June 26th, 11 a.m.
Walk the maze, jump the challenges, and get creative with some chalk on our library sidewalk. We’ll supply the chalk; you supply the creativity. The library will also have an afternoon sidewalk book sale.

“Riverside Moguls: Wealth and Power in the Hudson Valley: Part One, Rise of Steel Rails”. Join author, historian, musician and preservationist Alex Prizgintas on Thursday, June 27th, 6:30 p.m. as he shares the stories of “riverside moguls” from the Hudson Valley and the transformation of their estates through time. This program will focus on five figures from the growth of American Railroads. Alex will return for Part Two in August.

Walden summer concert series set to begin
The Music n the Grove summer concert series begins on Monday, June 24, with the Pine Bush Community Band taking the stage at Wooster Memorial Grove Park, 89 East Main Street, Walden at 6:30 p.m.

Subsequent concerts are scheduled for Wednesday evenings, at 6:30 p.m. Blu Crush will perform on June 26, followed by Axiom Project (July 10); Home at Last (July 17); Jazz Pioneers (July 24); Rachel Leeya (July 31); Black Dirt Bandits (August 7); Hillbilly Parade (August 14); The Feds (Aug. 21) and Dan Brothers Band (Aug. 28).

Inclement weather will cause the concerts to be postponed until September.

The free concerts are hosted by the Josephine-Louise Public Library and the Village of Walden Recreation Department.

Town of Wallkill to host Annual Blood Drive
The Town of Wallkill will host its Annual Celebrate Life Blood Drive on Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Town Hall, located at 99 Tower Drive, Middletown

With blood donation more critical now than ever, organizers are urging residents to participate. All donors are required to pre-register and will be assigned a specific timeframe to arrive.
