The summer baseball season kicked off last week with the beginning of Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League Play.

Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League teams will play for most of June and July with the playoffs scheduled to begin the last week of July and end during the first weekend in August.
There are four divisions in age groups, ranging from 9U to college age.
Most local teams are in Divisions 3 or 4 in their age groups.

The Mighty Marlins gave up eight runs in the first two innings in a loss to the Kenet White Sox B on June 9. The White Sox scored three in the first, five in the second and three more in the fifth inning.

Pine Bush Rebels Blue 6
The Marlboro Marlins rode a six-run fourth inning to a victory over the Pine Bush Rebels Blue on June 9 at Pine Bush Town Park.

The Marlins took the lead for good in the top of the first, and after the Rebels scored a run in the bottom of the inning, the Marlins offense scored nine runs over the next three innings to take control of the game, leading 11-1, heading into the bottom of the fourth inning.
