As election day on November 7 rapidly approaches, I urge you to look ahead and set aside time to head to the polls and exercise your right to vote. Just like any national government election cycle, it is important to learn about local government candidates. On your upcoming ballot, you will find many unsuitable candidates as well as many who are credible and forward-thinking. No matter one’s political party, I believe we stand on common ground and agree that it is crucial to elect trustworthy and visionary leaders in Ulster County.

From years of teaching her students and own children the responsibility of a government to working on multiple successful campaigns, my mother, Debra Gregg Clinton is now walking the walk and running for Ulster County Legislator. Her leadership skills and dedication to the community are only but a few of the characteristics that make her the perfect candidate. Debra is a lifelong resident of Ulster County and has seen our community at both its highs and its lows. She is prepared to help improve Ulster County by presenting new ideas and listening to resident concerns. I have watched my mother educate and inspire so many and I know she will continue to do so if elected on November 7.

I turn to all of my fellow Gardiner and Plattekill County District 16 voters to join me in marking the calendar and voting for Debra Gregg Clinton for Ulster County Legislator.
