A Wappingers Falls man was killed last week following a rollover accident on State Route 211 in the Town of Montgomery.

At approximately 1:53 p.m. on December 27, Town of Montgomery Police Units were dispatched to Route 211 in the area of Canning Road for a motor vehicle collision.

Officers arrived and found a vehicle that had left the roadway and had rolled over, coming to rest on a lawn. The operator of the vehicle was found outside the vehicle after being ejected during the crash. Town police reported that livesaving measures were attempted by bystanders and emergency responders at the scene, but the operator of the vehicle, identified as Frank Richards, 33, of Wappingers Falls, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Town of Montgomery Police were assisted by New York State Police, Town of Montgomery EMS, Mobil Life Support and the Montgomery Fire Department.
