Vision of Wallkill and Wallkill High School Senior Celebration Committee will host their inaugural Duck Derby on the Wallkill River on Saturday, May 14 at 3:00 pm. Support and watch this fun event to benefit Wallkill’s Senior Class. Thousands of yellow rubber ducks will be launched into the Wallkill River at Popp Park, each contending to cross the finish line to claim a coveted “Fastest Duck” award and cash prize. Ticket sales will begin at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Anyone wishing to volunteer for the event (expert kayakers are greatly needed), or for more information about the Duck Derby, or for tickets to ‘adopt’ a duck, call/text Julie (Vision of Wallkill) at (845) 325-2329 or Erin (Senior Celebration Committee) at (845) 591-5472.
