Huskies, Dukes record shutouts

Jaiden Cutting returned an interception for a touchdown in the Marlboro Iron Dukes’ 14-0 win over Liberty in a Class B Division I football game on Friday at Dennis Burkett Field at Marlboro High School.

Cutting also made seven tackles in the Iron Dukes’ Homecoming game.

Carter Rivieccio completed seven passes for 91 yards and Jack Buzzurro rushed 15 times for 112 yards.

Sean Robertson caught two passes for 48 yards and Christopher DeNatale caught three passes for 21 yards.
Robertson also made nine tackles and DeNatale had five tackles and an interception. Daylon McKenzie also had an interception.

Giorgi Partsvania had nine tackles and Sam Garitta had eight tackles. Dylan Sanchez made six tackles.
The Iron Dukes will head into a key divisional matchup on Thursday when they host the Port Jervis Raiders, the defending Section 9 Class B champions, in a rematch of last year’s Section title game.

Highland 51, Red Hook 0
Logan Ellison, Marco Garrity and Joshua Bishop each scored two touchdowns each as the Highland Huskies routed the Red Hook Raiders in a Class B Division II game on Saturday at Highland Middle School.

Ellison scored on two 3-yard runs, while Bishop scored on a 40-yard run and caught a 40-yard pass from quarterback Maison Bragg. Garrity scored on a five-yard run and a two-yard run. A.J. Nugent also had a 10-yard touchdown run.

Connor Elliot made a tackle in the end zone for a safety.

The Huskies are 3-0 in the division and have the inside track on a division title with one league game remaining against the Fallsburg Comets, who have forfeited their last two games.
