Huskies third in Class C lacrosse

The Highland boys’ lacrosse team split their final two regular season games beating the James I. O’Neill Raiders before falling to the Class A Kingston Tigers on Senior Night.

Frankie Guidi scored five goals and had an assist in the Huskies’ 15-5 win over O’Neill. Matt Castellani had three goals, and Dean Klotz had two goals and three assists. A.J. Palmer had two goals and three assists, while Chris Mooradian had two goals and one

assist. Logan Zehr scored a goal.
Chad Keyser had three goals and an assist, leading Kington to an 11-5-win over the Huskies on Wednesday.

Hunter Mejias also scored three goals for the Tigers. Owen Niles had two goals and two assists.

Palmer led the Huskies with four goals and three assists, and Klotz had three goals and two assists for the Huskies. Castellani had a goal and an assist for the Huskies.

Landon Zehr made nine saves.

The Huskies finished with an 11-5 record and earned the third seed in the Section 9 Class C tournament and were scheduled to open the tournament on the road against the Rondout Valley Ganders.

The winner faces the winner of the other semifinal between No. 4 Goshen and top-seeded Wallkill.
